Te Kauri Waikuku Trust’s education programmes are funded via the Ministry of Education’s Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom (LEOTC).
There are two programmes, both linked to the current curriculum, both provided FREE OF CHARGE to schools through our experienced educators, and both catering for students from 5-17 years of age. Students can learn ‘hands on’ about the ecology of the forest, the impact of pest plants and animals, scientific monitoring, water quality testing, botany, rongoa, tree and leaf art (and much more!). Courses are tailor made to suit school and students needs. Our educators are available to assist you in planning your environmental education experience, and learning takes place in a natural environment. |
